Grant permissions

Allow Notifications so alerts reach you. For location and car reminders, also allow Location (Always) so Awan can monitor boundaries while the screen is off.

Is Awan free?
Awan is free to download on the App Store, with no account. You get one reminder and one saved location free (plus 20 text scans and 20 auto-parking logs). For unlimited reminders, saved locations, and scans, subscribe monthly or yearly — with a 7-day free trial.
Does it work when the app is closed?
Yes. iOS monitors your geofences, times, and car connections at the system level, so reminders fire even when the app isn't open and the screen is locked.
Will it drain my battery?
No. GPS only activates when you approach a geofence boundary — Awan receives a crossing event, not a constant location stream, so battery impact is minimal.
Why does it need “Always” location access?
“Always” access lets iOS wake Awan in the background the moment you cross a location boundary. Without it, location and car reminders can only fire while the app is open.
Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your iPhone. Awan has no server, no user accounts, no ads, and no third-party SDKs — nothing you create ever leaves your device.
Do I need CarPlay for car reminders?
No. Car triggers work with a regular Bluetooth connection too. With CarPlay, you additionally get today's reminders on your car's screen and a popup alert when a reminder fires.
